Good Morning! Those of you that follow along on Instagram saw that I have been basking in the sun in San Diego! The week that we spent there truly was not enough. Truth be told with so many things to do there, two weeks would probably not be enough. Oh well, I Guess that just means we will need to go back again next year π Let me just say though, it really is so hard to get back into the swing of things after vacationing so with that said I though I would share a some highlights of our trip until I get back to being creative. I did although manage to get one craft project done before I left! You can read all about my Ombre Painted Succulent Planter here.
After just a quick and easy flight and about 45 min waiting for our rental car shuttle bus…grrr (which is really not fun with an antsy 2 year old, that just spent an hour and a half on a airplane) we finally arrived to Pacific Terrace Hotel which would be our home for the next week…ahhh!
Pacific Terrace Beach is perched up right above pacific beach with amazing view of the pacific ocean in a great location, that is walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. With only 73 guest rooms, this hotel is a little quaint boutique hotel which is what I like. The staff was very attentive and so nice, we actually got to know them quite well as my little guy had to go to the lobby literally 5 times a day to get an apple, or as he calls them a “bapple”
We were fortunate to stay in a full ocean view room, which had amazing views of the ocean and the pool. Couldn’t have asked for a better location or room. It was great!
The nightly sunsets on our balcony never got old π
Most of our days were spent in the morning playing down at the beach, building sand castles, chasing birds, and getting our feet wet in the ocean. Good Times!
Included in your stay at Pacific Terrace Hotel our complimentary use of beach chairs, umbrella, and sand toys for the kiddos. Which is so great not have to worry about any of that, just a quick stop by the hotel front desk and pick everything up on our way down to the beach, and of course Beckham can’t pass by the front desk without grabbing his bapple!
Beckham managed to break us away from the fun in the sun for some adventure at Legoland, and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Both were so much fun, even though at some points I think my husband and I were enjoying ourselves more than Beckham haha! I guess standing in lines for rides doesn’t call for to much fun in a 2 year olds eyes…jeez, what were we thinking?!
Legoland is amazing! I can’t believe all the stuff they have created all out of legos, it is incredible. There are so many fun rides to go on that are perfect for little ones and tons of little activity areas in each section making it fun for everyone. They also have a water park, but unfortunately it was not open when we went, it looked really fun though.
After a few hours checking out all that Legoland has to offer, we made our way over to Sea Life Aquarium!
Still managing to have fun after our long adventurous day at Legoland on the drive back to our hotel π
With a few ups and downs, Legoland was a success and so much fun! Can’t wait to go back next year!
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park was such an adventure! Not only can you see all the animals in what I guess you could call their “natural habitat”, there is the Africa Tram, Balloon Safari, Safari Tours, Animal Encounters, as well as many play areas for the kids. We enjoyed our time walking around the park, playing in the play areas with Beckham, and also had the pleasure of taking a ride on the Africa Tram!
C’mon you guys! I have had about all I can take of this place ha!
Looks like the fella’s had a little to much fun.
The rest of our days were spent having fun in the sun of course, visiting Old Town, Sea Port Village, visiting a good friend, and getting in as much beach time as possible!
San Diego never disappoints and we are looking forward to going year after year, and seeing what all San Diego has to offer!
Another adventure in San Diego a success! Always a good time!
In case you missed our shenanigans last year in San Diego, you can read all about it here!
