A whole lot of love in these pics with the boys loving on our little Sum Sum!

In our attempt to take family pics, I’m hoping we have some gems like the the first two pics, but looking at the last pic, it may be a sign of the shit show that occurred last night 😂. Not only was it hard to get all three to cooperate at the same time, apparently we lost the sim card to our camera and spent entirely too long the next day combing the woods for something we knew we would never find. Spoiler alert.... we didn’t find it 😡😂. The good news is, it wasn’t the card we used to take our family pics, but the card we did loose had hundreds of pictures from the recent months on it 😞.

Well I’m pretty sure this is the most unique place we have stayed at yet!

This pit house is a modernized version of a pit house that the Fremont Indians lived in. And when I say modernized, I mean mattresses, electricity and an electric heater to keep you toasty warm during those colder months. Yet it still has an authentic feel with the concrete floors, exposed wood and skylight that opens up. The boys are now asking for a pit house in our backyard 😂 You know it’s a win when that happens!

Located at Fremont Indian State Park in a secluded spot at the Sam Stowe Campground, its close to the museum, epic views, trails and more! Definitely worth the visit and I would highly recommend staying here if your up to unique accommodations like this!

Meet the newest member of our family Summit! This cute little fella was looking for a new home and we gladly welcomed him into ours ❤️. The boys have been asking for a dog for so long and their wish finally came true today! We are looking forward to many outdoor adventures with cute little Summit 😊

Mcpolin Barn in the fall is sure spectacular!

Beckham had a school day at home the other day, so we had two options. Option one stay home and listen to Beckham ask over and over again, “mom can I play video games” Similar to the Simpsons episode “can we go to Mt. Splashmore” (google it!) Option two being head up the mountains for a day of play. Naturally we chose option two!

I do these things because I know that time is a gift and these two boys will not be this little for long. One day they will not want to explore these places with me as they will rather be off doing there own thing. So I use this time I have now with them to play, explore and just enjoy what life has given us! Of course we have many days just chilling at home too, but given the choice we always choose to go adventure somewhere together.

It was around this same time last year that we explored this barn for the first time. It’s a great place where you can learn the history behind it, walk or ride your bike on the nature trails and during the fall they have a scarecrow festival that is fun to check everyone’s creations!

📍Willow Heights Trail
The trail I thought I would never step foot on again. Some of you may remember this is trail where a not so happy Moose charged at us! I am happy that I conquered my fear and made it to the top this time with no moose in sight. And don’t get me wrong, I like to see the lovely moose in nature just not so close and following me from behind on the trail 😬
