Do you decorate much for Halloween? Do you HAVE your Halloween decorations out yet? I started getting out mine last week, and ended up using a few new ones that I recently made, as well as some from last year. When it comes to Halloween decorations, I keep it pretty simple and don’t go too crazy or too spooky.
I made these really cute Boo letters last year, and decided to show you how I made them. With a little bit of scrapbook paper, paint, and a few embellishments you have yourself a Boo-tacular Halloween decoration!
supplies:
- wood letters
- craft paint
- raffia
- embellishments
- scrapbook paper
- mod podge
- X-Acto knife
- scissors
Since I did make these last year, the step by step instructions and prep work are not up to my usual standard, But they should work. The first thing you will want to do is trace the letters on the back of your scrapbook paper. Make sure when you are tracing the “B” letter, that you flip it backwards, so when you turn the scrapbook paper over, it will be the correct way. Once you have traced all the letters on to the back of the paper, cut it out.
After I cut out the letters, I then painted the wood letters all in black. Once they were dry I then applied the scrapbook paper with mod podge. For the letter “B” I only applied scrapbook paper on the sides and left the front black.
For the “O’s” I put the scrapbook paper on the front.
After all the scrapbook paper was on each letter and completely dry, I trimmed the edges of scrapbook paper with an X-Acto knife. Then I applied another layer of mod podge over all the letters to make the scrapbook paper really stick and give it a glossy finish. Then once that was dry I added some raffia and embellishments to the letter “B”.
Even though Halloween is just a few weeks away, these are super easy and quick to make that you can whip them up in one night while watching your favorite t.v. show. Making your Halloween decorations even that more Boo-tacular!

I’ve been browsing online greater than 3 hours today, but I by no means discovered any interesting article like yours. It is beautiful worth sufficient for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made just right content material as you probably did, the web can be much more useful than ever before.
