Love Christmas time and all the fun Christmas decorations for your home? I usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving to decorate. This year though I just couldn’t help myself, I turned on some Christmas music and went to town decorating the house! Those of you that know me, are probably thinking to themselves “What? Christmas music, Tara hates Christmas music!” Yes, this is true but those that know me, also know how much I love Kenny Chesney. And Kenny just so happens to have a great Christmas CD! I popped in the disc, set to repeat and started my favorite song “All I want for Christmas is a real good tan” and was good to go!
I made this cute Joy Christmas Decoration using canvas & wood letters. This is easy and cheap to make!
DIY Joy Christmas Decoration
Of course I forgot something while at the craft store, ribbon. So I just made do with what I had. Other than that I am happy with how it turned out!
supplies:
- 3 canvas boards in desired size
- J & Y wood letters
- wreath
- ribbon
- stencil
- acrylic craft paint
Paint the canvas with 2 coats of black acrylic paint, while that is drying put the scrapbook paper on the wood letters. To do that, place the letter face down on the backside of the scrapbook paper. Trace the letter with a pencil and cut out the scrapbook letter with scissors. Apply mod podge to the front surface of each letter with the foam paintbrush. Press the scrapbook paper into the mod podge, matching the edges. Let the mod podge dry for 20 minutes. Then apply mod podge again over the scrapbook paper. When applying the mod podge over the scrapbook paper it will be white, don’t worry it dries clear. Once the paint is dry on the canvas, place your stencil where you want it and paint that your desired color. Hot glue or use a tack to put the ribbon on the back of your wood letters. Once everything is dry using a tack, tack the ribbon to the back of the canvas.
Here is the finished product!
Have fun decorating your house for the holidays!

Hi would you mind letting me know which web host you’re
working with? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 completely different web browsers and
I must say this blog loads a lot quicker then most.
Can you recommend a good hosting provider at a fair price?
Many thanks, I appreciate it!

Right here is the right website for anyone who really wants to understand
this topic. You realize a whole lot its almost hard to argue
with you (not that I personally will need to?HaHa).
You certainly put a fresh spin on a topic that has been written about for many years.
Great stuff, just great!
