Patriotic Party Lights – Red White and Blue Blog Hop!

Who’s ready for the 4th of July festivities to begin?!  If you are, then you are going to love what I have in store for you today!  I am so excited to be participating in the Red White and Blue Blog Hop with a bunch of very talented bloggers!  At this blog hop you will find patriotic recipes, crafts, and home decor ideas just in time for the celebrations to begin!

My Red White and Blue post will have you be singing a Toby Keith tune and give your party the perfect added patriotic touch!

I recently shared these Patriotic Party Lights over at Houseologie last month, and decided to share them today with my readers for this blog hop!

Using just some mini red cups, paint, and string lights, these patriotic party lights are super easy to make and will be the perfect added touch to your outdoor decor all summer long!

• 1 pack of 20 mini red solo cups
• Acrylic paint or chalk paint in colors white and blue (I am a fan of using what you have on hand)
• Drill
• Paint brush
• Painters tape
• String lights

Step 2:  When it is all dry, take off the tape and then drill holes in the top where you will put the lights in.

Step 3:  Stick the string of lights in the holes that you drilled.  I could only find string lights in a pack of 50, so I just put a cup on about every second light since I only had 20 cups.

That is it!  How easy is that?!  Now start singing that Toby Keith song “Red Solo Cup, I’ll fill you up, let’s have a party!” and put up your patriotic party lights just in time to celebrate the 4th of July!
