When it comes to the daily to do list at the Hatch house, Coffee undoubtedly is first on the list. I personally can NOT function with out that fresh cup o’ joe in the morning, and I know the hubs would agree. In fact, my husband has a huge jug called “Bubba” that he drinks coffee out of throughout the day. Seriously. Bubba. So for those of you following your coffee to creamer ratio chart, then you know that we are spending copious amounts of cash on just the creamers. Not to mention consuming tons of calories and sugar, which none of us really need.
So, when I discovered Pure Via, I knew it was a match made in heaven. One of the big things to me is that Pure Via is Sourced from Non-GMO plants, not the product of bio-engineering. Call me crazy but I would rather have something that comes from Plants and Farmers not from Labs or Scientists. It is also particularly awesome that it sweetens your foods and beverages and is ZERO calories. You hear that Hubs?
So while shopping at my local Walmart, I picked up a box Pure Via® 40 Count Packets, so that I could start making our own coffee creamer to save us money and calories! Creamers with cinnamon in it always catch my eye, so I decided to make a delicious yet simple cinnamon vanilla coffee creamer. The Pure Via gave this creamer the perfect amount of sweetness and even better since It comes in little packets, Spenser can always add more for added sweetness if he would like.
This recipe only calls for four ingredients, making it quick and easy to make without breaking the bank.
Homemade Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee Creamer
ingredients:
- 2 cups half and half
- 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 packets Pure Via
directions:
Heat up cinnamon in a little bit of your half and half so it can dissolve, making it not grainy. Then mix together with the rest of half and half, vanilla, and Pure Via packets. Shake vigorously to combine. Store in refrigerator. Make sure to stick a piece of tape on your jar with the expiration date from the milk you used, for a guideline when the creamer should be used by.
Enjoy!
When all was said and done, I really did love the taste that Pure Via gave my creamer. It really added a smooth and natural flavoring and was not over bearing. And for those of you that are trying to live a healthy lifestyle, yet is extreme enough to have their own “bubba” super mega huge coffee mug, you can at least feel better about the zero calories. To be quite honest, this project ended up being a smashing success and really changes our daily routine for the better. And I for one look forward to using more Pure VIA to satisfy my sweet tooth guilt free.

This sounds great! I’ve been looking for a healthier coffee creamer (since I drink about three times as much creamer as actual coffee), so this could be it! Thanks, Tara!
