Hi guys (and gals)!
Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and is enjoying the Holiday season so far!
I’m so excited to be teaming up with a group of talented DIY bloggers, sharing all new Christmas projects hosted by hometalk.com and countryliving.com! So if you are still looking for new decor ideas to add to your home this Christmas, you will get a ton of inspiration at the end of this post!
Every year I’m looking to add more Christmas decor, with this year having an emphasis on rustic accents. So this year I decided on making a rustic holiday tree using some birch wood.
supplies:
- birch wood
- star embellishment
- wood stand
- paint
- hot glue
This was seriously so easy to make, probably took me about 10 minutes start to finish. I purchased a set of 3 birch wood branches at the craft store. I first started off by cutting the wood to the desired sizes with a saw to make the shape of a tree.
Then using a large drill bit, I drilled holes in the middle of each piece of wood and started stacking them on the wood stand.
After I started placing the wood on the stand, I didn’t really like the base color. So I just freshened up the wood base with two coats of white paint.
After stacking all the wood in place, I just simply glued a decorative star on the top using a hot glue gun.
After it was all complete, I placed a little wreath around the bottom of it for more depth. And that is it! super easy right?
This simple little rustic holiday tree is just perfection, don’t you think? I love it, and it fits perfectly in our home! Can’t wait to bring it out year after year!
Are you ready for more inspiring ideas? I’m sure all these amazing diy projects will have you getting out your tools, paint, and craft supplies this week!
