Pretty soon those beautiful family Holiday cards from your friends and family will start filling up your mailbox. Will you have somewhere to display them when they do? Well now you will. I have always been the one that just places them all over the fridge, just crowding up space and leaving it looking even more cluttered than it already is. So when I stumbled upon some branches from my neighbors tree that he had just trimmed, I jumped on the opportunity to take a few off his hands 🙂 These branches couldn’t have come at a better time, I needed some for an upcoming project that I will be sharing on Friday, so stay tuned you for sure wont want to miss it! After I used what I needed for my upcoming project, I had one branch left over and that is when my Rustic Log Holiday Card Display was born! Now I finally have a somewhere to display all those fabulous Holiday cards for everyone to see!
I am super pleased with how this turned out, and even better it only took a matter of minutes to make! Love projects like that!
Rustic Log Holiday Card Display
supplies:
- tree branch
- clothespins
- twine
- ball embellishments (not sure what to call them :))
- tacky glue
First I started off by tying the twine around my beautiful branch in loop knots.
The little balls needed a little more life, so I spray painted them with some silver spray paint. I initially wanted to paint them gold, but I didn’t have any gold spray paint on hand, so silver it was. Which I actually like them silver after all is said and done.
Once they were dry, I used some tacky glue and glued them to the ends of the longer pieces of twine.
Then it was time to hang it up on the wall and add some pictures. Once I put it on the wall it was looking a little “blah” and needed a little more “oomph”. So I added some garland to the top, which really added to it. The finishing touch was to add some free Christmas printables from Simply + Kierste, that really made the perfect touch! Adding just a few more things to it really made it all come together, making it turn out to be the perfect way to display those wonderful holiday cards!
Now send me those Holiday cards, darnit, so I have some cards to display 🙂
Christmas is definitely my favorite time to decorate the house, and I always look forward to adding more and more holiday decorations every year!

Tickled pink to meet someone else that loves Christmas cards as much as I do! Nothing like the charm of snail mail over the holidays (or any time of year). Love your log display. Would you be open for me to include in post on my blog about various ways to display cards? Hoping you might be. 🙂 Let me know.
