Here is one thing I think we can all agree on… Succulents don’t suck! I just can’t get enough of these little guys right now! Everywhere I look there they are, beckoning me with their colorful, fresh, and organic character. And because they come in a variety of shapes and colors, it makes it that more fun to create your own expressive planter! Additionally, they don’t require a lot of attention. Which is great, since I tend to forget to water things…sorry plants!
I would love to see comments about your favorite plants to grow, techniques and/or ideas. Mainly though, I’m just looking for some advice for keeping my succulents alive 🙂
This lush two tier succulent planter was easy to make and looks fantastic!
Succulent Planter Materials:
- 1 large pot
- 1 smaller pot
- 1 Terra Cotta Pot to fit inside the large pot
- Succulents of choice
- Cactus Palm & Citrus Soil
Place Terra Cotta Pot upside down in large pot. Tip: line your flower pots with coffee filters to keep the soil in and the water draining.
I didn’t get a picture of the next step. Fill the bottom pot with soil then set the smaller pot on top of the Terra Cotta pot. Then add soil to the top pot as well.
Place your succulents in the planters where desired and Whalla! You have a beautiful two tier succulent planter!
What do you think? Would love to hear your comments!

super pretty! Great idea to add the planter inside – less dirt needed and a level spot for the next pot!
